Asian food hall/food court style fare. Adds a more casual ambiance to the Pike & Rose area. Located at the back edge, so it doesn't get a lot of foot traffic. It's bright and vibrant and on a nice day, they open up their window wall. People love al fresco dining in this area and every restaurant would be packed. The food places close earlier, but the bar in the middle stays opened later and I was told they turn down the lights and it's more of a lounge feel on busy nights, but I've never seen. I like their Kyoto Matcha ice cream cone and have tried many of their desserts. Love their ice cream cone and they pile it high, so if there are kids around, I always get a "wow" reaction! Other desserts were only average compared to other Asian bakeries around. Drinks at the bar area are nice and you can even grab a dessert or food at the other places while having your drink at the bar area. Also had bubble tea there, but don't recall trying any of the food options, so can't comment on those. I'll give it a 4 as a food hall for a nice casual experience with good drinks!

A spacious bar, happy hour, cool decor, great music, and cool restaurants to order from... these are the ingredients for a good time! I went late-ish afternoon on a weekday, so it wasn't crowded. Happy hour featured half priced bottles of wine, so a buddy and I shared one and it was great! It was some sort of rose, but I'm forgetting specifically what it was. Some food can be ordered directly at the bar -- otherwise, you have to go to the individual restaurants to order and then come back. We shared a big box from Little Miner that had burritos, tacos and fries in it... it was wonderful! But seriously, the vibe of The Block is really nice. There are comfortable couches and chairs spread throughout, and I could see myself working there casually. It's one of the many cool food halls in the DMV.

Wow - very nifty space and place... Asian food offerings from apps to main meals to fusion food to matcha ice cream and more -- in a series of food court ordering stations - all surrounding a pet-friendly and truly nifty styled and ambience's bar... that has 7 day a week happy hour prices! Staff is friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating options. Mostly clean. And just a downright intriguing and fun place to hang for a bit with friends (including furry ones!).

Ordered from little miner and stepped up to the bar to grab a table. The bar was not open but the bartender offered his services & I ordered a glass of brüt rose, it was perfect. Checked out their drink menu and it's so creative! Really impressive cocktails We received our birria tacos they were phenomenal, guacamole was the best, Queso was watery & Birra ramen was way overcooked mushy noodles. Also ordered a Vietnamese Iced Boba to go, it was a fun meal!

Nice food hall with a diverse selection of 5 Asian pop-up vendors of sushi (Oma Sushi & Oyster Bar), pho, banh mi and noodle bowls (Anh-mazing Viet Kitchen), bubble tea and yogurt (Gong Cha), tacos (Little Minor Tacos), mille-crepe cakes and soft serve (Kyota Matcha). Gong Cha - The Lychee Iced tea was refreshing and fruity and perfectly balanced at 50% sweetness. Would love to come back to try the Matcha drinks! Oma Sushi & Oyster Bar - The sweet potato tempura 8 piece roll was tasty, the spicy mayo def had a spicy kick! Will def ask for it on the side rather than a drizzle. Anh-mazing Viet Kitchen - The Viet Bowl with tofu and rice noodle looked promising and fun to try. but the stiff and dense lemongrass tofu was underwhelming. The thin rice noodles were the best part! Would love to see more vegetarian options and dumpling and a stir-fry noodle spot. Note - Bun'd Up is NO longer in the food hall, both the Block and the Bun'd Up website are incorrect by featuring this location and have not been updated. We drove from McLean hoping to get a bao bun, only to find out Bun'd Up left a couple of weeks ago!

Looking at their website, I was excited to try the bao place, bun'd up. However when I arrived, it seems that vendor is no longer located in the food hall. Though there are a wide variety of food and drink selections, my main reason for going to the block was to try a bao bun. I hope they update their website in the future with the current list of vendors. I wanted to make the most of the trip and decided to try the bbq chicken stall, which sells Korean fried chicken. They had a wide variety of flavors to choose from as well as other side dishes. The boneless chicken was $16 for eight pieces, which is a little steep for chicken tenders but I decided to give them a try. I ordered the spicy galbi flavor which I believe is hottest flavor they have. Watching Korean drama's, I've always wanted to try tteokbokki, a Korean rice cake soup. It was $14 here and an extra $2 for cheese. After placing my order they told me that it would be a 20 minute wait for my food to be ready. The breading on the chicken had a good crunch and was still crispy when I ate the chicken for leftovers. Though I ordered the spicy flavor, it was a light spice something I think most people can handle. The tteokbokki was filled to the brim with soup and there were a decent amount of rice cakes.

I've been to this Food hall a few times i didn't know I haven't reviewed it yet. I love the bb.q chicken place their chicken is flavorful. I have seen this brand in K-Dramas. It was product placed in many of the shows i have watched lol. Of course i was curious how the chicken tasted. It was so good. My daughter loves it too. It is a bit pricey but so is everything else around us. We also tried the Kyoto Matcha place it was good. We had some cheesecake and crepe cake and some fruit drinks. Everything was just right. The decor is nice too. Very Instagrammable.

My husband and I enjoyed a really nice delivery order from Little Miner Taco because I was gifted a GrubHub gift card recently. My husband enjoyed the Street Corn ($10.00). He loved the flavors on the corn, each bit was better than the last. We also got Cheese Quesadillas, they were simple, but also delicious. The FIESTA BOX - for 2 was our main entree, at $40, it was a very generous amount of food: * 4 birria tacos (very meaty!) * 2 beef consomme (Soooo good) * 1/2 loaded fries * asada fries burrito * mexican coke * mandarin jarritos I very much enjoyed the Housemade Flan ($5) and thought it was sweet without being too sugary. Thanks for a great night in LMT!

Of all the food halls in Montgomery County including the Spot and Pike Kitchen, I like the decor of this one the most. What makes this food hall distinct from the others is that it has a bar and is open the latest. The hours on their website is different than what is posted on their door. Perhaps due to covid, their hours have changed. I thought initially that this was an Asian food hall, but I don't think that it is as there is the Little Miner Taco. I was surprised to see that there was a Covid charge at two of the restaurants, Bun'd Up and Little Miner Taco, I made purchases from. It was my first time since the start of the pandemic that I have seen this charge. There is an hourly parking lot and the first two hours are free. Lost tickets pay daily maximum. Yikes!
